SW Architecture

SICANT's software architecture can be defined as its coding logical structure; in other words, how programs are organized in order to SICANT to do what it does. While hardware makes possible the real control of the aircraft altogether with data acquisition, without logical rules in control and estimation, the whole aircraft control would not be possible

SICANT's software works on different levels providing not only low level control in aircraft attitude, for instance, but also a complete high level mission management and navigation. This allows us to improve RPAS performance and eases remote pilot tasks. All these activities regarding control, estimation, and mission management are performed at MEC (Modulo de Estimacion y Control, that is, estimation and control module). This on-board computer communicates with the MTT (Módulo de Telecomando y Telmedida, meaning telecommand and telemetry module), in order to manage communication and ground control station related tasks.
