Flight control is an essential element inside every RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System). Its main missions are guidance, control, and uplink (telecommand) and downlink (telemetry) management. It can be said, flight control is the autonomous brain inside a RPAS, but it's actually much more than that.
What we call MEC -spanish acronym for Control and Estimation Module (Módulo de Estimación y Control)- is that shiny golden box with a bunch of connectors. It is the physical support which among other elements needed for operation, the flight control is implemented into.
Flight Mechanics Area, develops and tests its own flight controls based in more than twenty years of experience in real time control systems implementation. Development has been always defined by practical tests, which allowed us to stablish robusts lines of research, all of them adapted to a great number of operative scenarios.
Flight Mechanics Area, has designed and developed INTA's RPAS's flight controls for ALO, SIVA, Milano, and Diana.
