Functions

The Area main functions can be summarized as:

• Flight control systems development, including: modelization, simulation, control laws development, estimation, guidance, navegation and mission management, altogether with data analysis and monitorization.
• Flight tests analysis.
• RPAS systems integration.
• Aircraft research and development regarding flight mechanics such as: fixed wing aircraft design, flight qualities and performance study, and mission analysis.

System ALO is one of the aerial platforms which incorporates systems developed by the Flight Mechanics Area. In our commitment with R&D, the Area participates in continuous flight campaigns which allow flight data study and a constant evolution and improvement of the aircraft capabilities. ALO is the spanish acronym for lightweight observation airplane (Avión Ligero de Observación)
