The Área de Investigación e Instrumentación Atmosférica (Atmospheric and instrumentation branch) is devoted to the coordination of the monitoring activities and physico-chemistry research carried-out at INTA in the field of the terrestrial atmosphere.
- Contributes to watch the fulfilment of the Montreal Protocol and later ammendments for the preservation of the ozone layer by direct observations
- Contributes to Climatic Change studies by long-term monitoring of stratospheric temperature in the polar regions
- Contributes to characterize the atmosphere in poorly studied atmospheric regions
- Contributes to study the composition and trends of Greenhouse gases
It is integrated in the Earth Observation, Remote Sensing and Atmosphere Department.
