On July 3, 2019 was held at the facilities of the Deputy General Directorate for Naval Systems (CEHIPAR) the coordination meeting of distributed infrastructure MARHIS, which is part of El Pardo Campus of INTA (CEHIPAR) together with other entities of recognized prestige: Cantabrian Hydraulic Institute, Maritime Engineering Laboratory of the UPC, Biscay Marine Energy Platform (BiMEP) and the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN), also attended by José Ignacio Doncel Morales as representative of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (MICIU).
The distributed infrastructure MARHIS belongs to the select group of Singular Scientific and Technical Infrastructures (ICTS) recognized by the MICIU in the thematic area of Engineering. MARHIS aims to improve Spanish competitiveness and efficiency in the field of maritime hydraulic engineering. Its objective is to increase the efficiency and capacity of Spanish numerical, experimental and field facilities for applications in coastal, port and offshore engineering.
In this coordination meeting, decisions were made on the collaboration agreement between the institutions in MARHIS, as well as establishing the criteria for access to ICTS infrastructures that will be published on the MARHIS website. On the other hand, within the established MARHIS dissemination actions, the presence of MARHIS is approved at NAVALIA 2020 trade fair with its own stand.
